RainDance Technologies Dedicates Lexington Headquarters and Operations

On Friday, September 26, 2008, almost 100 people attended the dedication of RainDance Technologies’ new headquarters and operations building in Lexington, Massachusetts and witnessed the unveiling of the company’s new RDT 1000 instrument.  Government leaders, civic and industry officials, and RainDance employees heard presentations from Sir Richard Roberts, the 2003 Nobel Prize winner for physiology and medicine and Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of New England Biolabs; Daniel O’Connell, Secretary of Housing and Economic Development, Commonwealth of Massachusetts; and Robert Coughlin, President and Chief Executive Officer, Massachusetts Biotechnology Council.

During the ceremony, the company unveiled a rendering of the RDT 1000 instrument, the centerpiece of its new Sequence Enrichment solution for the targeted genomic sequencing market.  Attendees were also invited to tour the facility and see our technology in action.  After the event, a reception was held to thank those in attendance, the speakers and RainDance employees.
